158 N Pixley – Orange, CA
I know you…you dream of Saturday mornings spent walking to Bruxie or the Filling Station for breakfast. You can practically feel the warm evening summertime breeze when you think about walking to Gabbi’s Mexican Kitchen for dinner. There’s just one problem: HISTORIC HOMES IN OLD TOWNE ORANGE ARE EXPENSIVE!!!!
Finally an Old Towne Orange bungalow has come up for sale that is reasonably-priced. Sure it’s not exactly a mansion, but it’s in good shape, on a decent street, and has a big yard. Priced under $300k, this home will go quickly. On paper, it’s only 864 square feet. But the house is actually laid out well and if two bedroom will work for you, I think there’s plenty of room. While the home has had some updating that is less than historically accurate, it shows well and everything is functional.
This home isn’t perfect (nor should it be when it’s priced the same as many condos). On my own visit I noticed a couple of items that will undoubtedly require some attention in the future: 1950s small electric meter, some settling of the foundation piers (common and more annoying as it causes some waviness in the floor), and a good chance that much of the knob-and-tube wiring is still in place.
If you would like to tour this home, please do not hesitate to contact me, email us at OCHistoricHomes@MeadeFirst.com, or call (949) 200-7795. This home is not my listing, but me and my team know and love historic homes. We’re passionate about homes with character.Listed by Michelle Mahzari, IMax Premier Realty
